We have almost the same tastes, I love laurel, and for pasta I also love basil and oregano, but unlike you, I really like cilantro, so much so that I even like it in salads, I love that flavor, but I have always been curious about Indian food because I see that they use more spices than we usually use here. but I haven't found an Indian restaurant around here.

You don't have an appetite. I, on the other hand, have a lot of appetite, maybe it's because of anxiety. When I have anxiety or stress, I usually gain weight because it makes me want to eat even if I'm not hungry.

I'm curious about the main dish you show here, it seems that the rice was raw...

I am not used to having so much herbs and spices on my meals except for the ones that I do like but in small amounts. My parents also do not know how to cook dishes with spices and even if I can cook with those I bet that they will not like it either. But nevertheless I wanted to try because of my lesser urge to eat and the nature of restrictive diet that I have to follow @blessed-girl

It is ok to eat for as long as you do not overeat unhealthy foods that can cause ailments in the long-run. I wish that I also have the kind of appetite that you have. My mother also has a good appetite but has a lot of allergy for some food ingredients like shrimp and then her hyperacidity issue also affects the way she cooks foods with vinegar and tomato sauce.

Biryani rice uses long grain rice, it doesn't stick together when cooked unlike the short and medium grain rice types. Anyway, the texture of rice is very important, it must be cooked well with a good amount of heat. When I was cooking our rice, I would shield the pot on all sides and let it cook it for about 45 minutes in a very low heat after boiling and not taking off the lid until it is done. That will produce a fluffy rice with the best texture. 👍
