Pride Not In Thyself

What do you have that wasn't given you?
Why show off as if you can preserve it all?
Let a little wind blow and see how all crumble If you do not keep them firmly kept in God.

Never pride in your abilities to do things,
For abilities are gifts given to us by God. Some have the abilities but lack platform
To perform what they can, hence remain unknown.

Just like some who have food but cannot eat, Some can eat but have no food to consume. See?
It is not about the ability to eat or provide,
But grace to be able to provide and still eat.

Some have jobs that pay so much income
Yet, cannot boast of a tangible possession,
Some have jobs that get them just go by
Yet, are proud of some tangible possessions.

It is not earning so much that actually counts, But how you manage what comes to you
And hey! It is grace that makes the difference For by manly strength shall no one prevail.

Always remember God factor in your life, From the little tiny things to the big ones, Never make the mistake of developing pride So you aren't brought down without remedy.
