Lily In The Mire
How beautifully the lily blossoms
Not minding it's immediate environs,
It glows beautifully catching the eyes
Even when surrounded by mud.
What clean and lovely flower
Grows in the midst of dirt
Yet, remains undaunted and
Uninfluenced by it's surrounding?
Likewise we as children of light
Mustn't let the darkness dim us,
But shine bright to lighten the world
And make a distinctive difference.
In a world so vile and corrupt;
Where depravity rules the day
And perversion is the new normal,
Let's stand out as light in the dark.
When darkness prevails, doom is imminent,
When light comes, darkness extinguishes.
Be the light that illuminates the world
Making it bright and beautifully inhabitated.
