Europa League Top 16 Play-off Drawing Results: Feyenoord Vs Roma

The play-off draw for the last 16 of the Europa League has been completed. AS Roma will face Feyenoord while AC Milan meets Rennes.

The Europa League round of 16 play-off drawing was held in Nyon, Switzerland, Monday (18/12/2023) evening WIB. This play-off round pits the group phase runners-up against the teams 'expelled' from the Champions League.

The winners of this play-off match will then be drawn again against the group winners for the round of 16. Among the big teams involved in the play-offs are AS Roma, Marseille, Sporting, Benfica, Feyenoord and AC Milan.

The draw was led by UEFA Deputy Secretary General Giorgio Marchetti accompanied by former Sevilla player Julien Escude. Feyenoord became the first team out of the bowl and were drawn to meet AS Roma, presenting a replay of the 2021/2022 Conference League final.

The draw continues with AC Milan meeting Rennes while Lens plays Freiburg. Representatives of Switzerland Young Boys faced representatives of Portugal Sporting.

Two-time Champions Cup (now Champions League) winners Benfica will face Toulouse. Portugal's other representative, Braga, will have a long journey to face Azerbaijan's representative Qarabag.

Turkish giants Galatasaray were drawn to meet Sparta Prague. Then Shakhtar Donetsk played the remaining team, namely Marseille.

The first leg of the play-offs will take place on 16 February, followed by the second leg a week later or on 23 February.
