INTRODUCTION

Jack of all trades is a master of none the often say….
But that’s not the full quote…the full quote is

“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

I have established in this community that I am a fashion designer, but that is just one of the numerous handworks I have, so I’m here to reveal another handwork of mine which I often do….and it is painting oh yes, I am a painter too
So in this post, I want to show you my recent work, which I did yesterday in my room.

PREPARING THE ROOM FOR WORK

I started by pleading with my neighbor to grant me permission to pack in my stuffs in her room since she will be going to work and won’t be around during the day, and she agreed. So I packed in my stuffs in her room one after the other, it took a while though but in no distant time I was through with transferring of loads and I had all the workspace I needed to kickstart the job.

INSTRUMENTS I BOUGHT FOR THE WORK

One 20 liters of custard yellow paint bucket
One 20 liters of ash paint bucket
One 5 liter of white paint bucket
One masking tape/paper tape
One rolling brush
One hand brush

For the rolling brush I used my mop stick handle to support it… it is called improvising in English language.😁

THE PAINTING PROPER

I took few pictures of the initial color of the room. I bought two buckets of different paints and one small bucket of white paint for the ceiling. I retained the custard color paint but changed the green color to ash.

Because I started during the day I could not take some pictures because I can’t be working and filming, coupled with the fact that I don’t like to be distracted while working too. I have already painted the up with the white Paint I bought for it and was almost done with my first coating, then one of my neighbors came back and that was when I took my first picture which is this one.

So after that, i waited for it to Dry a while so that it can accommodate design, when I felt it has dried I moved to adding a little design to my work because I won’t just want it to be plain just like that, it took me a while to finally decide on a particular one to make. I ran the paper tape I bought through the walls to create the design I wanted and continued my work, then did my second coating also.

THE FINISHED LOOK

After designing and recoating, I waited a while for everything to sit perfectly, then I moved on to the next stage of removing the paper tape to reveal the designs I made on the wall

Behold the beauty I created with my own hands. It wasn’t an easy task to do but on the other hand it not very hard to do either, it just your determination and mindset. Whatever you are doing just create fun around it, me I played music and danced all through, I believe it’s one of the reasons the work took so much time, but I know it’s also one of the reasons why it didn’t feel like I did anything too.
