Parents, like children are blessings from heaven! Though not many can say this for a fact about their parents and similarly, some parents might differ from this stance as well.
While it is true that no child is responsible for the kind of parents he/she get, same can't be said about the parents.
Every parent is responsible for the child/children they bring to life.
A parent who fails to be responsible or train his/her children is tagged irresponsible and a bad parent.
It's simple, children come as infants and need lot of care to survive a world full of many dangers. They wre very tender qnd fragile and need support to scale through the hurdles of life until they are able to fend for themselves.
A baby needs food, medecine, cloths and safe environment to play. These are somebof the responsbilities of the parents.
They also make sure that their children are well educated and are well equiped with societal standards - the dos and don'ts.
These are what webl, the outsiders see and judge these children fit for the society.
In cases where their behaviours are below societal standards, we look on them (the children) and blame them first because actions are acted out of freewill.
Once we get to see their parents, we either shift grounds or keep to our initial position. This is because some parents do try their best to direct their children on the right path but no mater how hard they try, some children turn deaf ears to their parents morals.
Whichever way you look at it, the parents have huge task at hands and most times, do these tasks until they are old.
In the end, the parents only have little time to truly spend onbthemselves devoid of their children worries.
The time they are less busy with parental tasks is the period when the children have married.
Thie, does not in anyway make them less parents. They still pray for their children, worry over them if they don't hear frombthem on time.
Practically, parents devote almost all their lives for the safety, well being of their children.
If you ask any true parents questiojs about how they hae faired, you will hear lot of stories.
For me, the hated most is when they are sick. It worries me a lot but in the end, every parent always return thanks back to God Almighty who strenghtens and made it possible for them.
Of a truth, parenthood deserve more credit than it gets. I also think parents deserve a day set aside for them, not as mother or father but as parents!!!
