I am so delighted to be participating in this contest. Which talks about food. I will be showing you guys the ingredients and way of preparing Egusi Soup
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups of melon (Egusi)
- Meat
- Stockfish
- Dried Fish
- Palmoil
- Fluted Pumpkin leaf
- Onions
- Salt
- Pepper and Maggi
- water
METHODS OF PREPARATION
Before starting the meal you need to grind the Egusi, slice the onions and the pumpkin then follow the steps below
- put a pot of palm oil on the fire allow the oil to get hot before adding onions to it
- fry the onions for sometime before adding the melon fry for sometime then you add crayfish, stockfish,dried fish and water to the put on fire allow it to boil for some time
- add the cut pumpkin and stir together to allow the ingredients to go round, taste it to see if the Maggi salt an pepper is okay then you allow it boil for 15 minutes
And here we have Egusi Soup which I will be eating with pounded yam.
