UFC 295 Results: Alex Pereira New Light Heavyweight Champion

Alex Pereira set a record after winning over Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. The Stone Hand emerged as the new light heavyweight champion.
UFC 295 was held at Madison Square Garden, New York City, United States, Sunday (12/11/2023) WIB. The main party presents the Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka duel.

The light heavyweight duel was short, namely only four minutes and 8 seconds. Pereira emerged victorious by TKO, after his elbow left his opponent unable to move.

This success made Pereira the new light heavyweight champion. The belt was previously vacant after being released by Jamahal Hill.

Alex Pereira also won his second title in a year. Exactly a year ago, the fighter from Brazil became champion in the middle class, after defeating Israel Adesanya. Pereira is the fastest fighter to win two different division belts in the UFC.

However, in a rematch last April, Pereira lost to Adesanya and lost his title.

After that defeat, Pereira moved up to light heavyweight and immediately won on his debut in the new division after defeating Jan Blachowicz. Until finally, Poatan or The Stone Hand won in the duel for the lightweight title.

Apart from Alex Pereira's victory, UFC 295 also featured Tom Aspinall's victory over Sergei Pavlovich. Aspinall won the interim heavyweight title after winning by knockout over his opponent.
