Today's Weather Tuesday 12 September 2023: Jabodetabek Sky is Clear All Day

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported weather conditions for the DKI Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas today, Tuesday (12/9/2023). The morning weather for the city of Jakarta is predicted to be sunny and partly cloudy.

Entering the afternoon and evening, BMKG again revealed that sunny and cloudy weather continued to dominate the Jakarta sky.

The same is true for the four buffer areas of Jakarta. According to the official BMKG website, sunny weather will occur in the Depok, Bekasi, Tangerang and Bogor areas from morning to afternoon.

As evening went on, the skies in the four cities in West Java were reported to be clear and cloudy.

Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated that a number of regions in Indonesia must be aware of the potential for extreme weather such as tornadoes, heavy rain accompanied by lightning, hail, and so on in recent days.

Based on the official BMKG website quoted by Antara in Jakarta, Saturday 2 September 2023, this potential causes impacts ranging from floods, landslides, flash floods, puddles, strong winds, fallen trees, to slippery roads.

Several areas that must be aware of the potential for extreme weather include Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, West Java, North Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.

In detail, the areas that have the potential for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds are Aceh, Papua, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, North Maluku, Maluku and West Papua.

Meanwhile, the areas that have the potential to be hit by strong winds are East Nusa Tenggara, North Sulawesi and West Sulawesi.
