Located just outside Tokyo, Yashio Hihokan or which in English translates to Yashio Adult Museum, displays Yoshitaka Hyodo's personal collection of "love dolls".

She organizes every inch of her house carefully down to the smallest detail when displaying her collection of sex dolls. This 49 year old man's house is located on the outskirts of Yashio, Saitama prefecture, Japan.

The house not only contains sex dolls in various positions and styles of clothing, but also displays various other erotic items. A spooky exhibition with fascinating antique collectibles.

"Since I was young, I was fascinated by cyborgs and artificial life forms and before I knew it, my fate was intertwined with such things, and my house had become a treasure," said Hyodo, who lives alone in his house, as reported by South China Morning Post.

Hyodo's doll collection began more than 20 years ago when he found a mannequin in a rubbish dump. This sparked a desire to be surrounded by dolls, and since then he has collected around 50 dolls, including sex dolls, mannequins and various other anatomical models.

"I bought about half of my love doll collection. The rest I got from acquaintances who no longer needed them because they were married, caring for their parents, or other reasons," said Hyodo.

Most Hyodo sex dolls come from Orient Industry, a Tokyo-based company that has specialized in producing high-quality adult toys since 1977.

A sex doll from the company has a reputation for creating the most realistic female bodies in the industry. The price is not cheap, namely around 700 thousand yen or around Rp. 72.9 million.

Hyodo's name became increasingly known after a sex doll photographer photographed him in haikyo and other places. Hyodo's own work has been exhibited in Paris and Tokyo.

A documentary chronicling his life was also shown in select cinemas across Japan in September 2022.

In 2021, Hyodo founded Dai Nippon Rabu Dooru To (The Great Japanese Love Doll Party) to take down Tokyo Deep Annai, a website that he said fueled negative perceptions of Yashio City by throwing unfounded criticism.

Hyodo also said that a major television station in Japan had created a false narrative about him in a documentary.
