These dumplings are called "Mi-Tarashi Dango," which are made of rice and skewered onto a stick in the groups of 3–5 dumplings. They are covered with sweet soy sauce gravy. Since the dumplings are overgrilled a little on purpose so that they have the "charcoal" flavor, which makes it very yummy 😋
"Mi" means contents, and "tarashi" means "dropping" (dango=dumpling).
You know, there must've been a good reason for the name, I hope. But, considering the color of the sauce, I've... just always wondered why people in Japan named it that way 💩
