This quick, simple and easy noodle stir fry is THICK, SAUCY and PACKS A PUNCH! Your tastebuds will thank you for this one.
Ingredients (serves 2):
β 2 serves of frozen udon
β 2 tbsp neutral-flavoured oil (vegetable, canola, grapeseed, etc)
β 4 garlic cloves (minced)
β 250g (8.8oz) minced pork
β 2 tbsp doubanjiang (fermented chilli bean paste)
β 1 tsp garlic powder
β ΒΌ tsp Chinese chilli powder (or to taste)
β Β½ tsp ground Sichuan pepper
β 1 tsp sugar
β Β½ cup water
β Spring onion (chopped)
β Coriander (chopped)
Instructions:
- Bring pot of water to boil. Add frozen udon and cook for 1 minute. Set aside.
- Heat up pan. Pour in oil and lightly fry minced garlic.
- Add minced pork and stir fry. Add doubanjiang, garlic powder, chilli powder, ground Sichuan pepper, sugar and water. Cook for 5-6 minutes, or till pork is browned and sauce is thickened.
- Toss in cooked udon and spring onion. Mix well and turn off heat.
- Serve with spring onion and coriander.
