Regular Korean radish/daikon

Hello! I went to a Korean market the other day and saw some purple daikon/radish. They’re so beautiful I had to buy some. My question is, do they taste the same as the regular Korean radish/daikon?

I sliced them using a mandolin and I’m pickling them for use as radish paper for Korean BBQ. They turned pink as soon as I poured the pickling brine over them.
