Ingredients
4 pieces slice pork shoulder or the best part is still the pork belly (cut out the skin)
Seasoning
“Nam yue” or fermented red bean curd. (Optional in you don’t have it but it adds aroma n colour to the meat)
Maltose (preferred) or honey.
Soy sauce.
Oyster sauce.
Five spice powder.
Ground white pepper.
Step 1
1)Add seasoning and refrigerate overnight
2)Use a wire rack and grill for 10
mins and use the seasoning to baste n turn over and repeat process for about 2-3 times depending on size and width of your pork.
It’s simple as 1 2 3 and nice eaten with some wantan noodles-
Noodles
Blanch some Chinese noodles over very hot water, take it out n dip in cold water and put it back in the hot water.
Mix with sesame, dark n light soya sauce and it’s ready to be served with the Char Siew. Simple as ABC
