We, Filipinos , just love rice! But there are times that there are rice leftover after a full meal. Most of the time we make it into fried rice. Here's the thing, there is a snack that is called puffed rice! "Ampaw" as we call it in our dialect.
The procedures are simple. First, sun dry the cooked rice until it is very dry. The next step is to fry it. The result is crispy puffed rice or pop rice! To make it as "ampaw", caramelized sugar then pour in the puffed rice and mix. You will be amazed by the finished product.
Basically these are just the ingredients:
Cooked Rice
Sugar
Butter
Oil for frying
