Sweet and spicy korean fried chicken pops 🥰🌶️❤️

Ingredients :
1 lb ( 450g ) Chicken breast cut into cubes
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 eggs beaten
1/4 cup flour
a pinch of salt & pepper
a pinch of ginger powder ( optional )

For the Sauce :
3 tbsp ( 45 g ) butter
3 garlic cloves grated
1 tbsp grated ginger
5 small dried red chillis crushed or any red chilli powder can do ( espicially gochunjangru ) , you can also adjust the spiciness.
2 tbsp ketchup
1/4 cup gochujang
2 tbsp honey
1 - 2 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil

Garnishes :
toasted sesame seeds , thinly sliced spring onions , extra red chilli flakes.

Instructions :

  1. Cut the chicken breast into cubes , put them in a plastic bag and drench them with cornstarch , give it a couple of shakes untill it's evenly coated , Next dip the chicken cubes into the beaten eggs and then into the flour , salt& pepper mixture . Fry them untill crispy and golden brown . Set them aside on a wire rack with a paper towel underneath .
  2. For the sauce : Place the butter , garlic , ginger , dried chilli flakes in a sauce pan . And stir just untill the ginger and the garlic are fragrant . Then add the ketchup , gochujang , honey , brown sugar , rice vinegar , dark soy sauce , salt and sesame oil . Keep stirring and let it bubble for 2 to 3 minutes , it'll will reduce a bit , thickens , You will end up with a glossy sauce .
  3. While the sauce is still hot. Put the fried chicken cubes in a deep stainless steel bowl and pour the sauce on top and mix them altogether .
  4. Finally add your garnishes and voila ❤
