Cereal stew for quick recovery

Hello everyone. Whether you are healthy and need a boost of energy or you are sick and need recovery, cereal stew will be the perfect choice to lift you up, revive you and make you energetic and strong.

I made this stew to help my family fight the Covid virus. Every day I think of what I could make for us to eat that would increase our energy and make us stronger. Although I call it a cereal stew, this stew is very nutritious and contains not only cereals but also turkey meat and vegetables. My son said this dish was a Batman's lunch and that's why we chose the Batman plate for the photo shoot and for one more reason - when you eat the stew, you turn into Batman. Try it, it really works. 😀

For this super strong stew or soup, you need 4 types of grains (green lentils, red lentils, barley and amaranth).

Celery, carrot, parsnip, onion, garlic and parsley are also needed.

And 500g of turkey meat.

Now you have all the ingredients and you can start the preparation.

Chop the onion, celery, parsnip and carrot.

Sauté the vegetables in a little oil for a short time.

Add a bay leaf if you like its aroma.

Add the meat cut into large pieces.

Sauté a little more and then cover with water.

Now it's time for cereals. The medicinal properties of the cereals I put in the stew are hard to list. Amaranth is perhaps the most powerful plant of all. In addition to strengthening the nervous system, it has a positive effect on brain functions and metabolism. It increases immunity, gives strength and protects against viruses. It's fascinating how many benefits that little grain has.

Green lentils (300g) take the most time to cook, so we put them first.

And then cook the dish for an hour on low heat.

After half an hour, add two tablespoons of powerful amaranth.

Wash the barley and add it to the stew.

And right before the end of cooking, wash the red lentils and soak them in water for 10 minutes and then add them to the stew.

Add spices to your taste and chop parsley and garlic and add them as well.

Cook for another 5 minutes and the dish is ready.

In addition to being delicious, it is very nutritious and healthy. It is interesting that lentils are among the cheapest foods, at least in my country, and at the same time among the healthiest. Stew is sufficient as a complete meal because of its nutrition and you will be full for a long time after it.
