Drop the guns, those who live by the guns die by the guns!

Introduction:

What could be more intuitive or ethical than the belief that it is morally wrong to kill on a massive scale? Although, human beings have been fighting each other since pre-historic times, and people have been discussing the rights and wrongs of it for almost as long. For Julian Assange: “If wars can be started by lies, peace can be started by truth”. To give credence to this assertions, PEACE, is a window towards the realization of dispute resolution in all ramifications.

Today, wars break out for various reasons. There are wars between countries or nations and with the nation. The latter is generally known as a civil war and can occur as a result of differences based on race, religion, socio-economic dissatisfaction among others. Whether wars are waged between countries(Interstate) or inside the country between different sections of the communities, the effects are very damaging. Wars bring untold miseries as well as political and economic instability. People’s lives and daily existence come under threat. It would be difficult to find jobs or live our normal day-to-day existence. What happened in Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, some parts of Nigeria, and other war torn countries is a dire reflection of the tragedy wars bring to humanity. Do Russia wanna follow suit? Thus, humans must avoid wars at all cost. The only way we can protect our lives and ensure stability in our country is to practice tolerance and respect for each other. Or else, we too would become extinct like the dinosaurs!

This write-up, is geared towards re-awakening our consciousness and the need to address the latest happenings between Russia and the Ukrainian government; which for some, it’s highly politically motivated, and others, intrinsic and egocentric factors leading into these attacks on vulnerable citizens.

Could we justify the Russian attack on Ukraine?

The premise of ethics pertaining to warfare is that war is waged only as the last remaining alternative to an even worse atrocity. If our justification for going to war is to avoid an even greater atrocity or evil then we ourselves cannot inflict more harm than we are trying to rectify or prevent. The justification of many on the constant meddling of Russia in Ukraine is becloud by undertone motives; and not for the benefit of all. We cannot allow emotions, mere sentiments to take precedence over reason on this constant attacks.

Also, the Holy books and other literatures speak about peace , as been the absent of war . Peace is what everyone treasures . Occasions of war often times destroy developments and put lives at risk . Vulnerable people; children , women , and even men who are not ready for war sometimes end up paying these bills .

I wonder why any rational being would choose war over dialogue! No matter the situation , peace and reconciliation should be a course championed by all .
The situation in Ukraine is what calls for sober reflections and prayerful best wishes .
Why would Russian attack ? No matter what , wars don’t bring development. Lives and property would certainly be lost . After the war , what next ?
After the lost of lives , what next ?
After the conquering what next ?
My heart goes to this country !
My heart goes to one of us here on blurt ………..@Priyanarc . She is from Ukraine 🇺🇦. I can’t imagine any other time that we need to send her our all support than now .
Let those in the corridors of powers who are the equals of Russian in decision making rise up to a single voice of stop the war !
Let us chant this “ stop the war” Till our voices are heard .
We won’t stop till the last man with the gun leaves the country.
We won’t stop till the blasts stop .
Putin is a single life and his life is not more special than those under attack .
He can’t threaten the world not to intervene or see something that they have never seen !!
Yes , I say , we would speak and if he
, Putin doesn’t withdraw, he will see the wrath of God.
As the troops of Russian advanced in three ways , I invoke the divine powers that they will disperse .
No country should support this !
No sensible leader should support this .
Am happy to hear some world leaders come out to condemn this . Let it not just stop at the condemnations . Sanctions be followed immediately

Conclusion

Let sanctions come on all fronts in such a way that , her citizens would cry on her government to restrain from war .
Who goes to war again ?
We are better off together than apart in war !
