Hello Blurt Fam!

Every January, Cebu—especially Cebu City—celebrates the grand feast of Sr. Sto. Niño. People from different parts of the Philippines travel to Cebu to take part in the festivities, as many believe that their prayers will be answered through devotion to the Child Jesus.

One of the most anticipated events of the celebration is the fluvial procession, where devotees gather by the sea to witness the image of Sr. Sto. Niño being paraded on boats.

It was my first time attending, and I was thrilled because I finally had the opportunity to join, thanks to my company’s active participation in Sto. Niño activities. The excitement was overwhelming, knowing I would finally experience this cherished tradition.

My sister also joined for the first time since my company allowed employees to bring a family member. She was just as happy and eager as I was.

The scene at the Cebu City coastline was incredible—thousands of people gathered, as is always the case every January. We Cebuanos are deeply devoted to Sr. Sto. Niño, firmly believing in His guidance and blessings.
