Exploring the Side Trips on Business Travel

Last month, I went to Siquijor for an official business trip. One of our project sites in Siquijor had encountered a problem, so I was assigned to resolve it.

I chose to take OceanJet because the travel time is shorter compared to other shipping lines. The travel time from Cebu to Siquijor is around 4 hours, while the others take about 10 hours, so there's a big difference.

The weather at that time was good, so the trip went smoothly. We encountered only small waves, and it was really manageable

When I arrived at the port, one of the company's engineers picked me up and took me to the staff house. Upon arriving, I felt a bit anxious because the house was old and had a gloomy appearance.

I immediately asked the engineer if they had experienced any horror stories in the house. He and the other staff smiled and told me that sometimes someone would bang on the bathroom door.

Since it was still early, I decided to take a bath because their story scared me (lol). Afterward, we all agreed to have dinner outside so I could explore the area as well. We had a barbecue dinner. They chose the barbecue place because they all said it had the most delicious barbecue.

As we started eating, I told them they were right—the barbecue had a unique taste. I ended up finishing a lot of rice. When you will ask how was the dinner? We really enjoyed the dinner.

I couldn't sleep the entire night, not because I was scared, but because it was so hot. There was a power outage. I had to work the next day without having had a good night's sleep.

After we accomplished our work that day, someone in the office suggested a side trip to Pitogo Cliff. Since I was new to the area, I agreed. The place wasn't too crowded, so we were able to enjoy the scenery. Afterwards, we went back to the staff house. I returned to Cebu that night after resolving the issue. That's it, Blurtians!
