Hello Blurt Fam!
My sister sent me a message asking if I could attend the christening of our cousin's daughter. Since there were no urgent tasks at work, I said yes. Our cousin made her a godmother, but since she couldn't attend, my elder sister and I attended the christening on her behalf.
The church and the venue were a little bit far from our house, so on Saturday morning, my sister and I left the house very early. I suggested leaving the house as early as 7:30 because we were both unfamiliar with the place. We didn't want to be late.
When we arrived at St. Augustine of Hippo Church, there were no guests yet except for those who work at the church. While waiting for my cousin, her family, and other guests to arrive, we called our eldest sister over video call. We don't talk very often as she lives very far from us and our time zones are different. We had just ended the call when the christening ceremony started.
The christening ceremony was a little bit delayed from the original schedule. Before the ceremony, we attended a seminar about baptism. The person in charge educated us on the do's and don'ts and what to say during the ceremony. I noticed that some of the godparents were my cousin's friends and her in-laws. We felt comfortable with them as they were mostly friendly.
The baptism took less than 30 minutes. After the baptism, my cousin requested everyone to go straight to the reception, which was held at their subdivision's clubhouse. That's it for today, Blurtians.
