London - Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain failed to reach an agreement in negotiations for the transfer of Milan Skriniar. Les Parisiens do not agree with the figures offered by the Nerazzurri.
As reported by Sportitalia, the meeting between PSG and Inter took place in London, Wednesday (27/7). PSG was represented by Henrique Antero (not President Nasser Al Khelaifi as previously reported), while Inter was represented by Paolo Busardo.
The meeting failed to reach a mutual agreement. Both PSG and Inter are steadfast in their respective stances on price, so the situation is at a stalemate.
Inter still don't want to let Skriniar go for under 70 million Euros. Meanwhile, PSG feel the figure is too expensive for a defender who has one season remaining on his contract at the Giuseppe Meazza. The defending French League champions offered 60 million Euros plus bonuses.
The difference of 10 million Euros eventually became the separator of the two clubs. Seeing the current situation, it is likely that PSG chose to withdraw from the hunt and look for alternatives. Different from before, this summer they are more careful in the transfer market.

On the one hand, this could be good news for Inter, who reportedly did apply for a contract extension for Skriniar. However, the offer that had come in from PSG could be difficult for them.
Skriniar is known to have personally agreed to join PSG. This condition will probably make Inter forced to raise their offer to the defender from Slovakia in order to approach what PSG had offered him.
The collapse of negotiations between Inter and PSG is no guarantee that Skriniar will survive. Chelsea, who are desperate for a new defender, are reportedly ready to approach the 27-year-old.
