Queen Elizabeth's Coffin Procession to Westminster Hall In Photos

London - Queen Elizabeth II is now resting at Westminster Hall after traveling from Buckingham Palace.

The journey of Queen Elizabeth II's coffin procession began at 14:22 local time in a solemn process. Led by King Charles III, the late Queen's four children walked behind the casket.

Nearby, Big Ben's clock chimes every 60 seconds during the 38-minute journey of the motorcade to Westminster Hall.

The boulevard, which is lined with lush greenery in central London, has witnessed various royal events over the years, including the Platinum Jubilee celebrations marking the Queen's 70th year on the throne.

The crown, placed on a purple pillow, is decorated with St Edward's sapphires, Black Prince rubies and Cullinan II diamonds cut from the world's largest diamond.

In addition to the crown, the top of the chest is also placed with a bouquet of white roses and dahlias.

Also walking behind King Charles III were his two sons, Prince William, who now holds the title Prince of Wales, and Prince Harry. Other senior members of the Royal Family also took part in the trip to Westminster Hall.

As many as 1,000 British military personnel were deployed in this procession, including the British Royal cavalry.
