Queen Elizabeth Dies, This is the Next Order of Heir to the Royal Throne

in blurtblog •  2 years ago

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022, UK time. Born in 1926, the queen breathed her last at the age of 96.
The late Queen Elizabeth II held the post of leader of the country with the longest term in British royal history. Before she died, the queen ruled for 69 years.

With this, Prince Charles officially occupies the next throne. Charles has now earned the title of King Charles III.

This makes the order of heirs to the British throne also changed. So far there have been 26 people who are included in the list of heirs to the British throne.

Here are seven people who have the highest probability of succeeding the British throne:

1 . King Charles III

From birth, Charles was prepared to take the throne. He is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Prince Charles was previously married to Princess Diana, who died in an accident. He then married Camilla Parker Bowles, who is now the Queen consort.

2 . Prince William

Prince William from birth has also been groomed to succeed the throne. He was the first son of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana.

Prince William worked as a helicopter pilot for the Royal Air Force and East Anglian Air Ambulance before stepping down in 2017 to focus on royal duties. He later married Kate Middleton and had three children.

3 . Prince George

Prince George is third in line to the next royal heir. Since childhood, he has often been involved in various royal activities with his father and mother in preparation for becoming king.

If he becomes king later, Prince George can bear the title of King George VII.

4 . Princess Charlotte

As the second child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Princess Charlotte occupies a fairly high position in the heir to the throne. She became the first and youngest woman in the British royal heir list.

Under the Succession to the Crown Act created in 2013, a woman from the first male line is allowed to enter the list of heirs to the throne. However, this rule does not apply to royals born before 2013.

5 . Prince Louis

As the third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Louis is also entitled to enter the ranks of the heirs to the British throne. Even so, Prince Louis, as well as Princess Charlotte, don't have the burden of Prince George who is certain to become king when the time comes.

6 . Prince Harry

Being the second child of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana, does not mean Prince Harry is in the line of heirs just below his brother, Prince William.

Moreover, Prince Harry has now decided to live in the United States with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children. However, he remained in the ranks of the heir to the British throne.

7 . Archie Harrison

Archie Harrison is the first son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Although not in a prominent position, Archie is still entitled to inherit the throne and is in the line of heirs like his three cousins.
