My First attempt with Soft Pastel Chalks. (Painting).

Painting is one thing I had dedicated my life to since I was a kid but then even till this very day, I haven't even started exploring it at all but thank God for hope and I am totally convinced that it's going to be a very huge part of my life and my success stories.

I've been observing my friends @innovator05 and @bob-dray closely for a while now and I've been a huge fan of their various pastel paintings. So I decided to pay them a visit last weekend and I got myself a pack of Rembrandt Soft pastel Chalks so they could put me through with some basics on how to make a sound painting with pastel, so I didn't do the painting all by myself, I had help from both of them.

If you would observe well, the painting carries many strokes of different colors, that was my move but that of @innovator05. He used that to explain some colour relationships to me and it was really interesting and informative.

@bob-dray also had some touches on building my mid tones. I did sketch myself, the blocking and series of layers but they helped me to keep the painting away from being just flat.

PROOFS OF OWNERSHIP!

There's definitely so much to learn and develop in this course and I'll be taking my time to do just that for so time till I understand my colour schemes and colour applications well.

You're welcome bro.

I lOVE pastels, it's my fave medium and I've always tried to emulate the Renoir style of colour mixing which you have captured here very well too. Great first pastel. Now you can have a go on your own and develop ur own unique style. Looks like you had some good teachers.
