My Act Of Canvas Preparation. (HOWTO).

Good Day Fellas,

As a painter, one of the most important things to me is my canvas preparations. Sometimes even some artists don't know that their canvas preparation is as important as the painting or work of art itself and why?

Sometimes there are some kinds of textures and forms you would really love and try to achieve but couldn't because achieving such forms and texture isn't tied to your ability of knowing how to paint or draw but how to prepare your canvas for exactly what you want!

At times my friends and fellow artists would see me using sandpaper on the surface of my primed canvas and wonder why it is so. I use sandpaper on my canvas whenever I intend to paint with brush because that way my brushes won't be at the risk of getting spoilt because of the harsh surface of the canvas.

PROOFS OF OWNERSHIP!

This is a type of canvas preparation whereby I do have a stretcher and I decide to pin my canvas on it before applying my primer on it.

Here is another approach I use whenever I do not have a stretcher or went I do not want to use a stretcher but this particular one has to do with having a large board and wall where the canvas can easily be pinned on.
