BLURT ART : Bearded Pipe Smoker (Step By Step)

For several hours, I wasn't quite sure on which portrait I'd create create today. I was feeling a bit under the weather and wanted to create something simple, but I love challenges and love experimenting my technique on different facial features, expressions and ideas. I decided to create this portrait of an aged man fully bearded with a smoking pipe between his lips. I loved his facial expression how he looks on his side and his cap which concealed the hair on his head. I particularly loved the smoke pipe but the most challenging aspect in the creation of this portrait is his fully grown beard as I had to make sure it looked realistic by having the right proportions and also the use of the white colour for the highlights. I created this piece using the scribble technique and shared the process below. I hope you love it.
