It's Tuesday morning and the art for today is a dragon which maybe part of the world of Veneryx the dragon and the REAL series. This dragon is a light dragon called Godarol. However more about him will be said int the bio. At first the idea was an earth based dragon but after just switched it to a light dragon.
App used is sketchbook Android version
Last time I used a pencil for outline on the app. Today I am using the large brushes for a form based outline. In order words I am buildling my base and used a dark brown color.
After the base was ready I dublicated the layer and the dublicate is the one I worked on. After drawing the major face features I used the glow brush for the lighting effects and the lighting on the wings.
Use the air blow pen for a slight dark shades. And some curves and lines with some pencil.
The background was done with water color brush for that floor. It was just a simple background done.
For that dark effect version where be glows in the night or in darkness is using an overlay layer that's colored black.

Fiction bio
Godarol as stated above is a light dragon. One of the elder dragons just like Veneryx
His major features is his glow he can manipulate his skin for light reflective purposes and as a result acts like both a chameleon and a light bulb. Chameleon in the sense that he can turn invisible. Now that's a bad ass dragon. Being a dragon is calamity enough but invisible one means death sentence. Aside from that , light bulb being as obvious as saying he can reflect light to a point where he glows bright and the light can be blinding. He does that to throw off the aiming of enemies and sneaks off or disappears with the teleportation.
Now how is Godarol like? He is not exactly the protector of people like Veneryx and just does what he wants really. However he does value keeping a low profile as well and does not terrorize humans just like that. Although if they come by his territory they should expect a grand welcoming that is bound to be terror to them. He once faced off against Veneryx on his bad day when he rampaged close to the settlement Veneryx protects. As a result Veneryx stood his ground to chase him aways as he declared the place his to protect. And as much as Godarol is strong he is not interested in fighting an elder dragon like himself. Although the only advantage he may have is to blind Veneryx with the light however if he goes invisible apart form sound Veneryx can basically see spirits so his invisibility is pointless making it an even match up.
Although since Godarol was already throwing a fit they did fight before he tried turning invisible and noticed he could still be seen the hard way by being blasted with flames. And Veneryx got his share of bright light as well. In any case Godarol left.
Godarol leaves in a cave at the far north side away from the Jolt forest. He proclaimed himself king of the forest and no adventurer would dare attempt that quest. Those who did ended up not in good shape or dead. The other animals fear him. However he does fear the poisonous ones. His flames come out like sun rays so it's doesn't mostly catch fire like fire breathing dragons but has enough force and heat to burn things like a toast. Compared to actual fire his flames are weaker. Mostly to balance scale between dragons and varying species if they get some extra abilities then their flames are not that devastating against a normal dragon that just breathes fire. If they have something special they will also have a weakness to back it up. And one of it apart from the low power flames is his flight. He cannot fly as precise and flexible as most other dragons there for limiting his air mobility but boosting his ground mobility instead which gives a fighting chance to a dragon that only breaths fire however being an elder dragon Means those weakness are not much to stop them from over powering other dragons however an elder dragon may not be able to handle multiple strong dragons although on a one on one bases With test of power and no tricks, an elder dragon can beat any other dragon. If it's within themselves it's more of a battle of information. Meaning with an element of surprise inwhich none of them know each other's capability is left to skill but if one knows and the other does not then it's in the favour of the one that knows if they both know then it's left to skills.
Godarol does not pose a threat if left alone and so he's cool but his proud as well and sometimes causes trouble even when left alone just to have fun although most times he lives far in the dragon island and only comes by every now and then to that his cave and if any creature takes over as king of the forest he then humbles them. Just because he declare himself king does not mean he is the strongest though. There are quite terrifying creatures out there and most don't care about association other than hunting and rampaging.
This ends the little bio on Godarol. He will come in handy later on when the Adventurers series progress. A point to note though is the Lady of Flames wants to test out as duel with an elder dragon soon as she is known to take down casual dragons.
