Lately I have been drawing characters and making up biographies and total I considered drawing an object with it's biography. And personally I like fantasy stories and make up fantasy stories. If I had more skills to make animations or direct a movie or write a script for a movie I would much like to see my stories in action😅. But they will be mostly sci fi or adventures and legends. For today the drawing is of a sword called Life-Edge. And yes for those who know soul calibur game I got the inspiration of the name from there. As the game has the two weapons soul edge and soul calibur. In this case it's Life-Edge I call mine. A legendary sword forged to bring life to a dying world. It goes far back to mystical times.
In most cases I would have probably decorated the sword with some ancient write up and glow write-ups but I decided to make it simple. Kinda like the last Katana once constructed with paper.
My favourite type of weapon that I like is a scythe.
Drawing was done in the sketchbook app.
I keep switching how I start my drawings from sometimes pencil outline and sometime base outline. In this case pencil outline. After drawing the outline of the sword I dublicated the layer and on the dublicate I used the fill tool to color the swords. Each segment with it's color and sometimes set the fill tool to linear fill and for the circular parts the radial fill.
Afterwards the glow brush used to give it more glow effect. Background was done using a texture tool.

In a land of distant times of might and magic there was once a... Okay okay this is beginning to sound like am gonna talk about Merlin😅 not as dramatic as much though. Anyways we move. In the time and dawn of heros and villains of monsters dragons kings and mages and gods. There once was a great backsmith who could forge like it was breathing. The gods mostly came to him to forge their immortal weapons by providing him with rare materials. In the battle of power between gods sometimes they would fight over who has ownership of him as if he was a property. Amongst the fight for domination two gods stand out being Facron and Lesba. Whether as to say is good versus evil is had to say as they are both just selfish and proud and want to be on top.
The war of the two ruling gods reached the island of the dragons causing the dragons to retaliate and bringing in an all out war. The dragons where as powerful as the gods and the Titans and destruction flames and death filled the earth. The humans where the victims. The king's have to make alliances with some gods for protection and still be at the caught in a random battle either ways . Chaos shook the earth. And a union of one god Elas a dragon and a human Philia came together to the blackSmith with ingredients for a weapon to end it all. A weapon forged from dragon scale and maidens tears of sorrows and the drop of blood of a god with the finest metal a magic ore he forged his greatest creation ever.
The immortal sword they call the weapon Life-Edge .. As it decides the end of the war if possible. However as much as they want peace, they can't end the war without having to shed a little blood. And so the next issue was the weilder. Who would be neutral enough use the sword for the betterment of the war and for the right reasons they chose a human to represent the week holding the power. And as the battle wages they demonstrated the power of the sword. The sword has the power to absorb flames and conduct it . In a way its also a flaming sword that beat other flaming swords. It's very sharp and wounds from it cannot be healed with magic as it counters automatic healing. And a cut from cut if intended can kill the gods themselves. As strong as the sword was the champion could not fight the gods easily even with his strength. But as they United front fought each covering the weaknesses of the other, they won the four way battle and branded as traitors but settle with seize fire amongst the three.
But Lesba did not want to be even as he believes the gods should rule and so he forced the black Smit to reveal the ingredients for that sword and he gathered them and brought it. And the Dark-Edge was forged to counter the Life-Edge. However as Lesba waged war on the heroes he picked them off one by one and saved the human champion for last. As they fought the human lost seeing as Lesba had the dark edge. And the heroes fell including the dragon amongst them.
Now Lesba could stand as the supreme God until he woke up. Turned out he was dreaming all along and the blacksmith used a dream orb on him and never created the Dark-Edge. However he used the ingredients to create a bridge and a gap that would be able to separate all three races. It acted like a monolith and created an invisible barrier so that no race can cross the others territory. With that Lesba's plan to be the supreme ruler was foiled and Life-Edge was returned back to the blacksmith to keep it safe. And so he shattered the sword fragment with the will power of his on the sword. And the sword separated to 3 parts that are powerless without being put back to be whole again. And then the blacksmith disappeared. No body knows where the swords pieces are now. Or so the legend says.
An archeologist decided to dig of the information and the lead goes all the way to the city of Tyra on the south side of Jolt Forest. After so many search and brain cracking of mysteries he finally found one of the pieces and that was all. As he was not heard of again. Only a journal he left behind to show his progress. And one would wonder why do I keep talking about the jolt forest. I guess is because I want to link most of my current art.
