Here's the next illustration I painted for the 'children's' story and I'm using the word children in the loosest possible terms.
They wanted a couple of changes this time, firstly to make the blimp more 'steam-punk' like the miserly data machine in the last illustration and to make the road between the protestors and police look like the 'yellow brick road' from The Wizard of Oz. So I duly complied. I did prefer the updated blimp too and the yellow added a lot more colour.

Sorry for the poor quality of the photographs, they were taken with my old mobile phone which I've stopped using now. I do have a better camera but the actual pics are in Denmark. Maybe I should ask him for the quality scans he used for the video huh?
Personally the part I'm most proud of is the police and the visors with the faces visible through them. That was challenging to paint but I feel I pulled it off. With all this covid nonsense at the time it wasn't hard to find reference material for the riot police, there was plenty!
Personally I've been to many demo's over the years and have come to the conclusion that most are a waste of time in that they don't change anything. Look how vast the anti-bombing of Iran demo's were, the biggest in uk history, but they still went ahead with the attacks. Can't stop their money making scam just coz the useless eaters come out in force.
Non compliance is the only way to bring change but demo's are fun.
