Cassava production in Africa
Hello I have come to tell you the important of cassava in Africa cassava as been one of the best crop in Africa especially Nigeria, you can process cassava to produce different foods like garri,fufu, starch. Nigeria has taken cassava as part of their agriculture production by planting them in different land.
Cassava has been one of the most important crop in Nigeria, about 70% of people in Nigeria base in cassava production, due to how useful it was in Nigeria and it has been the crop Nigeria has based on because it reduces the rate of hunger in Nigeria.
How do they process cassava
Cassava can be processed to produce garri, fufu starch and many more.
Land preparation for producing cassava: you can prepare the land before planting it, the bush will be cleared with the Cutlass and make sure you level the ground, then use the hoe to plant the cassava stem. That's how the plant cassava.
And make sure you cut the cassava stem into 5cm length.
End product of cassava production
You can use the cassava to produce garri, fufu, starch and flour and other things , now how do we process cassava to garri, this are the way,
1 harvest the cassava from the ground slowly and then cut off the root from the cassava stem
2 make sure you Peel it properly to avoid gems
this is cassava when is peel
3 make sure you wash it properly
4 and then grand it very well to a small article
5 then put it inside the bag and make sure it gets dry
6 you have too filter it very properly
7 the last thing u have to do is to fry the filtered one till it gets dry.
as you can see someone is frying it till it gets dry. That's the local way of frying cassava
That's everything about garri only.
Garri has been one of the best Africa dishes .
Cassava is a very nice crop in Africa, that is why I have come to tell you more about it. Because Some dishes in Africa are made from cassava.
