MARKETING STRATEGY : What Have You Got Before You're Stripped of It?

Hello Blurtians,

I came to a crossroad last weekend or should I say, I'm getting afraid at what is expected of me?

Just being professional or innovatively creative at painting, what do they represent the same thing?
So, I need your help and advice at this point in this hustle.

On resuming back from my last year's leave, I got a painting contract for the weekend; a two-bedroom and parlour apartment which I couldn't reject since I actually needed some money to cushion the effect of my travelling, yuletide celebrations and moreso, the price wasn't bargained at all, a sign of an urgent work!

It was quite strange and a bait for me looking at my previous works and indeed location where bargaining becomes an order of the day to the point of always walking away without gains after executing the job because of wanting to infuse my footprints and brand in everyone's mind and earn acceptance, trust and referrals at the end of the day.

Interestingly, this new contract came from one of such fruits; the platter of trust and the inclination to details in my works. It was in a remote location;

Gbagada, Lagos State - a place I always longed to spread my tentacles into because of the amazing prospects. Another reason I couldn't afford to miss the opportunity, an exciting one!!!

Now, here's the loophole that got me baffled, dumbfounded and intimidated at the end of the work!

Marketing my brand to win big clients and contracts after meeting bigger competitors!

Joggling my supposedly side hustle "innovative painting" and my official New Products Development job at the company side by side without leaving gaps!!

How do I execute it knowing that I mostly attend to it during the weekends since I work at Drugfield Pharmaceuticals on weekdays?
Which deserves more priority or how can I perfectly handle the two?

Investing and expanding this side business; Innovative painting!!!
Is it cool giving it a shot or does it worth the trial?

Actually, I did a perfect job painting brilliant white beautifully to cover a darker background colour that was on the wall. That's why, I feel I can favourably scale through in the market as well looking at what other brands are doing.

Being at a crossroad therefore came into play when I managed to get a glimpse look at another painters' quotation for the same job.

Wow... professional packaging and presentation makes a whole lots of difference and sense.

It all translates into a purposeful marketing strategy.
We were meant to do the same thing but his presentation trump higher would definitely have won the contract though I got it. But I think he really did a good branding, packaging and marketing of his brand.

So, here am I now kick-starting my brand promotion with the Logo maker and Invoicera apps.
I hope I can get all the supports needed to push the springboard to a formidable brand.
