Good afternoon lovely people, I guess you all had a wonderful night rest. Am here to tell us how jellof rice and beans is being prepared. If you grew up in Nigeria you more than likely had the pleasure of having native jollof rice before. Jellof rice with palm oil is often called concoction😊 it is a popular Nigerian dish that combines the unique flavours of the country. Below are the required Ingredients used in preparing it.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups of beans
- Rice
- Salt
- Seasoning Cube(Maggi)
- Onion
- Fresh pepper
- Red oil
- Curry
METHOD:
First of all you have to pick the beans to enable you remove some stones and dirt in it.
After that u put the beans on fire
and when it have become a little bit soft then you add your rice and par boil them together.
After 10_15 minutes you use cold water to wash the rice.
Next thing to do is to place a dry pot on fire
After that you put some quantity of palm oil inside the pot
Allow it to get hot a little and then you put your well sliced onion inside the hot oil
Add a little water so that the onion won't get burnt
Put your pepper
Maggi
salt
curry etc Inside the pot.
Cover it for like 3 minutes so that it can boil a little.
Then you open it and add water, enough to cook the rice and beans
then add the par boiled rice and beans
Stir so that the ingredients will go around
Then cover and allow to cook for 20 minutes
till the rice and beans is well cooked
Serve hot and enjoy with a bottle of mineral (sprite) 😊😊
