MYU FOVOURITE SPORT.

I must there are combersome number of numbers of sport in which I am a fan such as Football, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Running, High jump, Car Racing, etc. and many more which are on the list.

But among the above mentioned, my favorite among them all is Football. A well-known coach once, said; Football is a game of love, a game of passion which it doesn't matter whether you win or lose

Yes, that is very true. Many of you will agree with me on this while there are others who will kick against it, I will say everybody has what he/she likes and loves doing.

HOW MY FAVORITE SPORT (FOOTBALL) IS PLAYED

Football is a game being played on the pitch which is also referred to as the playing field. The game is comprised of two sides/teams which are made up of 11 players each with a goalkeeper.

The field/pitch is rectangular in shape and has a goal post at each end. These goals at each end are where the goalkeepers are to stay with the duty of preventing the spherical ball from entering the net.

One objective of the game is to score more goals than the opponent in other to win the game. All this is done within a given time of 90 minutes and in some cases where extra times are added the time becomes extended.

This game is therefore played under certain rules or conditions which are:

• The players are not expected to touch the ball with their hands while the ball is in play and an exception is being made for only the goalkeeper this is done within a limited area which is inside the penalty area.

As earlier stated, since the game comprises of two teams in play, any team with more goals have therefore declared the winner of the game, if there are equal games, it is therefore declared a draw or the game time has to extend into what is known as extra time which has to last for 30 minutes subdivided into: 15 minutes for the first half and the remaining 15 minutes for the second half. If still no goal the game is then extended into a penalty shootout where the winners must be decided all these are done based on the match type.

It is important to know that in each team playing there is someone chosen as the representative of the team who is called the CAPTAIN who takes the responsibilities to coordinate his/her teammates, and other further responsibilities.

Outside the goalkeeper area, there are other positions on the pitch in which the players are strategically positioned by the team coach, and these positions change and hence is not governed by rules or laws.

It would also interest you to know that the game is officiated by a referee who is given the power to enforce those laws guiding the play of the game hence the referee's decisions are always final. Also, the referees is assisted by two other referees who are called assistant referees who are always at the side of the pitch and in the mordern world now there is also a fourth referee known as the VAR VIDEO ASSISTANT REFEREE Which stands in to aid the referre in decision making concerning the game.

REASONS WHY I CHOOSE FOOTBALL TO BE MY FAVOURITE SPORT
There are numerous reasons for me chosing football as my favourite club of all time and these reasons are henced listed below.

• Among others, football Is a game for the boys: As a child growing up everything sport moved me but what moved me the most for football, I had this original found love for football, that I even had to be beaten to stop going to watch football or even play but all these efforts proved useless for something you love you have love.

• There is this feeling I always get while watching or playing football which is that feeling of Freedom and Happiness: Despite the fact that the game is bounded by rules, I still feel very much free inside the fotball pitch than when I am doing anyother thing. Fotbal makes me very happy and forget about the soroundings around me at that time when I am either playing of watching from the backgroud for everything felt outside, once I go into watching, I end up forgetting such things and the mind bocoming as free and lively like never before. My happiness is one of my topmost priorities, and football makes me happy so why forfit my happiness for something else.

• Football Promotes the spirit of togetherness: Many of us still say that football promotes racism and all that but I say no to it. Football is what brings people of different race, different skin colors, different tribes, countries with divers cultures, beliefs and norms together. Making reference to the World Cup always held, this is an act of togetherness and promoting oneness and team spirit among one another.

• Through the likes of football I have gotten a role model in person of CR7: Cristiano Ronaldo who have taught me a great deal to always be consistent hardworking in everything I do.

Football is indeed one of the Well known game played around the world. This simply makes the game a porpular one.
