On Wednesday, I decided to go through the street of Aba to admire some street sellers and I took some photos and I was amazed how different people do different things just to make a living. Not minding the weather, Aba business people don't under rate any business as what whatever you sell would give you good life at least for your daily bread.
Looking at this woman selling fruits pays her bills from this and she is happy. Daily she is here doing her business.
I saw this old woman who is selling chilled drink on the street makes a life through this. In the hot environment such as ours, chill drinks and water and snacks makes a kind of food for some people who are busy buying or selling and even travellers also buy while on transit.
I saw this young man who sells meat pies. This is his business and from his face, he's happy doing his business.
I met another man who sells flags and stickers. Stickers make a good market as drivers, and most commercial motorists buy stickers to decorate their vehicles. Looking at this man , he doesn't want to seat at home waiting for someone to give him money rather since he is still strong, enters the street and make money through the sells of stickers.
Tiger nut had been said to have good health benefits and it's common to see the sellers in every corner of the streets. I enjoy eating tiger nut and I love tiger nut milk also. Have you tasted a chilled tiger nut milk?
You don't need to go too far to buy wears within the streets of Aba. Any quality of wears you want, you would have it. Those who sell dye are often found nearby cloth sellers.
Cold drinks and water are in large demand because of high population of traders.
This is a young girl hawking sachet water and could save for school. This won't stop her from going to school. She could do it after she return from school and now that schools are on holidays seeing younger people hawking in streets is common.
Mosquitoes and malaria 🦟🦟🦟 is still being battled in Africa and seeing those who sell mosquito killers/ insecticides also make good money..
