A common job but very essential.

What job is truly common and which is uncommon.

The answer to this absolutely depends on the environment one is looking from. The services of taxi drivers is a common type of job but it's an essential job. Conveying people, goods and services to their destination makes it an essential business. Because life is involved, drivers are giving sound training and it issued a license before allowing such a person to enter the road as a driver. In Nigeria, there's the Ministry of transportation. With "NIMASA" (Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency) which is in charge of the country's water ways.

And the Nigerian Airspace is managed by Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and we can not forget the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NUTRW) . All these angencies are concerned with the movement of people, goods and services.

Goods which land at the airports, seaports or at the motor parks needs another set of essential servicemen to take them to the warehouses or the shops where the goods would be marketed out.
Having the knowledge that trucks have limit to where they could enter, and some often Long vehicles carries the heavy goods to the warehouses but hardly would they deliver the goods to the shops it's at this juncture that these set of people comes in the cart pushers.

Passing through a big warehouse few days back I saw these guys working very hard not minding the sun, but goal oriented and trying to ensure that they deliver the consignments.

To some individuals, this man is suffering but to another, he's being a hard working guy who isn't lazy but uses his strength to its fullness and at the end he makes his family happy by ensuring food for the family.

I had the opportunity few years back to push wheelbarrow in our local market every Saturday which is our market day. Yes in our tradition, our market buys once a week . There are four market days in Igbo tradition Viz, Eke , Orie, Afor and Nwko market respectively. And my people own market is the Eke market which is a topic for another day howbeit, by communal arrangements, Saturday's is agreed to by the market day.

As a student in junior secondary school, I was able to make money for writing materials and other stuff I needed as a teenage. Today things had improved and pushing cart is seen as odd but those who have the courage to do it instead of seating idle makes a living out of it.

Your service to humanity is appreciated no matter how small. Only do what is good and keep in mind that your job is also very essential.
