It's friday here and things are going great so far. The birds are enjoying their time as they chirp here and there at the backyard. I guess they love the bright weather today and also the coolness that the gentle wind is bringing to the lil kingdom. The day is just lovely!
I hope you are having a wonderful time too, where ever you are :)
Anyway, I was checking my files and found some photos of healthy foods that were enjoyed on picnics many years back.
These for instance were at a park in the city and I was with the husband when he met with his friends and we had a whole day munching with these along with grilled meat and fish while we were chitchatting and stuff.
You could say we love fresh veggies and fruits. But back when I was younger, that wasn't the case at all. I didn't really like lettuce then, I don't know but I just can't eat them. That changed however when I went overseas and I had to adapt to how things were. It was difficult at first but I learned to love and adore veggies as years went by. I think that was one of the best things I learned being away from home
This below was an evening out the balcony of our apartment when we were living in the city. There was no special occasion but we were just in the mood to have a little picnic while gazing at the moon, lol!
The husband and I set a lil BBQ space and grilled too. We had fun and while writing this, I realized that we haven't done this for quite a while so it must be nice to do it again some time.
And this was at a friend's place also in the city. I think it was her son's birthday and we were invited. They love greens too which explains why they prepared these. These veggies (lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and others) are great in summer because they kinda help in cooling the body especially when it's really humid and hot.
And these were on a random get away with the family at a beach somewhere in the lowlands. We used to buy cherry tomatoes then from the BSU organic farms but now, we grow our own.
The boys love meat but they also adore fruits and some veggies so it's kinda balanced. And grilling fish is always part of the family fun and the boys usually take good care of this and we would just be waiting to enjoy, lol!
Well, these are just a few of the healthier food options that we love. So how about you? Do you have any healthy food preferences when going for a picnic?
Thank you and have a lovely day :)
