Portrait drawing of of an African sad boy

Hello friends
Today I would be sharing with you all a drawing I made of a little sad boy. Today I stayed home and I had enough time to study rest and draw. I've been really occupied with school activities because of the short semester and I'm having some series of test next week. After a long nap I started this drawing. What attracted me to this image was the expression on his face. There were no much steps because i got carried away with my drawing. I started with a rough sketch then I started to build up the drawing using my 10B pencil from the left eyes. What I enjoyed drawing most in this portrait was the lips. As I said I draw from the left to the right to avoid smudging. After I was done with the eyes and nose I shaded upward and picked the hair in the same manner from left to right. I drew and shaded out the mouth and then joined the jaw to chin and darken some areas. I did this drawing with a 10B Bianyo pencil on an A4 paper.
