Greetings my fellow blurt colleagues. How are we all doing and I hope we are feeling fine today.
I am a corp member serving under the National Youths Service Corps in a rural community called Nonwa in Rivers State, Nigeria.
Rivers State is an oil producing state and the oil exploration majorly affects rural communities who depend on farming for survival. This rural communities cannot have a good farming without applying quality fertilizers because of poor soil quality.
I discovered a particular community called Gbene-ue. Almost all the inhabitants of this community are farmers and hence depend on farming for survival. But the challenge is that majority of them cannot afford to purchase fertilizer.
I and some corpers raised funds and purchased some bags of NPK fertilizers. We visited the community and shared the fertilizers to them and about 30 farmers benefitted from the project. I believe this will help increase their yield and income.

Nice initiative but I think your efforts could be better used in teaching farmers how to mulch, and compost rather then giving them more chemicals to put in their soil and kill it faster.
