Recently it's become very clear that the "Hive Cabal" is trying to label myself and others speaking out against them as bitter complainers that just complain about Hive on Blurt!
For starters....they are 100% correct, it's far better and more effective to complain about Hive on Hive instead of on Blurt. But that's just me half kidding around. The question is, is complaining the right word to describe what is going on here?
In Who's Interest Does This Narrative Get Pushed?
One of the main accusers referring to be me and others as childish bitter complainers is @themarkymark, a completely anonymous top witness on Hive. No name, no location, no video, no photo...just a cartoon face and millions of HP backing it, which he received in the very early days for basically being a member of their club and running a scam called a bid-bot. (Probably the "Cabal" knows exactly who this guy is and that's about it.)
Lets not forget the "Hive Cabal" is made up of mostly anonymous top witnesses. Imagine if Microsoft or any other major company was run by totally anonymous people. Talk about being able to get away with murder and have zero accountability. It's just crazy to think about what a crooked joke Hive really is in this regard.
What the "Hive Cabal" is infamous for is putting people they target on permanent auto down-vote lists while slandering your name for weeks and even months regardless of what anyone thinks. They are the rulers of the roost, period; as they claim Hive to be decentralized.
This is how they take care of business on Hive and something they do often. Look at what they did to @cryptopie for goodness sake. Frankly unreal. Let's not even mention @gringalicious and her 250,000 HP now gone. She also happens to be well known for being from a religious Christian family. But I'm sure that has nothing to do with it either.
Scroll through my blog and tell me if I deserved the same exact treatment? While chasing off over 40k of my investment and making me a champion for their main competition Blurt.
Did I just complain or did I share a bit of information that maybe you or someone else reading this was unaware of?
"They" use the word complaining, to describe what is going on here. I would politely say that I feel this is generally quite an incorrect way of looking at it.
I'm totally for speaking the truth about Hive, Blurt, and Steemit based on the information I've gathered along with my personal experience. If the truth is ugly on any of the platforms for one reason or another, then they are responsible for that.
We (the outspoken) are not here to help sweep any platforms dirty laundry under the rug. To be silent aids the guilty and corrupt. To be silent leads the masses to bad decision making. If the truth clearly shows for a multiple of reasons it's better on Blurt; then let people know, and let people know why. It is so important to be outspoken so the masses can be empowered to make better decisions for themselves.
Silence is Costing Investors Lots of Money
I was telling people to start Hive's ridiculously long 13 week power down and sell everything back in late October, when I saw Hive start it's parabolic move up to $3.50. All these months later and with a price already about 75% off it's highs, I continue to recommend people to power down and sell as they will likely just lose more money by not doing so.
My ability to read charts and markets combined with what I've learned about the hive management led me to decide to power down and sell. I started powering down one week before they came after me as well. Another coincidence? maybe...
Point is I was able to make very good financial decisions about when to exit the Hive market with 20x gains. Those who listened to me they too got out of Hive with an average price well above a dollar. I've been in the markets and managing money for almost 20 years, and this has much influence with how I look at the situation at hand.
What must be taken away from this story of investing....is that as an investor or market participant you need as much truthful information as possible to make good financial decisions. To just be silent on such things we discuss aids poor financial decision making.
To favor remaining silent, while referring to speaking up and sharing valuable information as "complaining"; is something I do not believe to be in the best interest of the masses or investors of any of the three platforms. In fact remaining silent only favors centralizing power to the 1% of each platform.
What About Nasty Language and Name Calling?
If you are bothered that some of the negative information gets released with a bit of name calling and aggression. Lets not forget that many people are naturally bitter with how they've been treated on Hive after devoting so much time and energy to it.
It's important to remember that it is human nature to be upset when mistreated by others; and it will result in anything from colorful language to name calling and whatever else. But the information and underlying message will often still remain valid.
To express your frustrations publicly or not is at the behest of the writer. Personally I think it's healthy to let it out after being so mistreated, while others with a similar abusive experience can comment and make you feel not so alone.
Being Made to Feel Alone is Part of the Abusive Down-vote Culture on Hive.
Anyone who speaks positively or defends the person being attacked, immediately puts themselves in the cross hairs of being attacked as well. It's an "us" vs "them" kind of place on Hive. You must go with the big money opinion, you must go with the "hive-mind", or risk becoming their next down-vote target.
With this down-vote system in place the person being attacked is immediately treated like a leper; which is frankly horrible, disgusting, and totally the fault of the down-vote system. A system of self censorship, leaving the one being attacked to be left feeling totally alone. They only have one option; beg for forgiveness. Innocent or guilty it does not matter.
In order to be let back in the club a session of humiliating begging and admitting fault is your only choice. With income and money being held over people's head, I would say about 99% take this rout. I even took this rout for while, but a lot of the time it doesn't even matter. They can not be open and honest about exactly why you must be eliminated, or it would make them look as corrupt and despicable as they actually are.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, Blurt's no down-vote button is a smart and powerful anti-bully/anti-drama feature. I believe this is just another reason why Blurt is a far better platform and a place I feel good holding investment.
If you still choose to equate "complaining" to be the same as sharing negative information about something people invest large sums of money in; that is perfectly okay, and I suggest you stick to your day job.
When trouble lurks around the corner, the best response is to either attack the messenger or immediately stick your head in the sand! For this situation both choices are highly recommended by the faceless leaders on Hive. The decision is truly yours! Until next time - Dan "World Travel Pro!"
I asked for forgiveness because i did something wrong in their book , i actually dont make any money in hive , there are some people i like there and they are not in blurt , i started to collection punks with a friend , also marky has always been nice and you say we dont know who he is , well this is good for 85% of people and even the ones who show videos and selfies , you dont know their real name ...anyway for me it is about few nice connections , i wrote and shared a misogynist post for a friend in hive to lift her spirit and she laughed so hard and was feeling better , that is all it takes and matters ...anger should be 2nd degree always because life can be hard and the joy is more important .
I understand you were making decent money there and when they cut the air it was surely shocking for you , what about if they never downvoted you ? Would you have done something for others ? Since the DV are happening for a very long time now .

What i dont understand is that a lot of people make money even tough they speak subjects that are OFF the "rules" .
So i really dont know what is going on and it is sad that all blockchains are so disconnected when we are so few people to use them and it is supposed to be a good or enlightning experience .
Interesting enough , Blurt has half of the amount of coins hive holds , so it should be very positive for the future .

yeah thats how I felt there, there was that element you felt you could almost find life freedom just blogging and not really speaking much but as an actual experience the chat was dull as dishwater and it was always a feeling of dread wondering how much of your post would make it to pay day even up to 1 hour before lol, it was really no way to live and not worth the breadcrumbs.
by the way check the discord I think a bunch of us should organise a type of blurt fest, I have some amazing ideas, the ones that ive seen on YouTube are so dry looking I think we could do something way more fun like a festival and individuals sharing their skills not just listening to dry speeches.

I have no clue about the future of hive. I would like to see a change of top witnesses like how politicians must be changes every so often. It is like a baby wearing the same diaper all day, it becomes an ugly mess.
However, the stake "game" makes it so that those who were there first are the main beneficiaries for life if they never power down and distribute the coin. When the top own the majority of the coin, then there is no decentralization, same with stake weight. If I understand correctly, a good part of the value of a coin is the decentralized distribution of the coin. They know this, and thus create hundreds of accounts daily and distribute their own wealth into this method. Nothing wrong with having more wallets. However they also use these extra accounts to make pseudo anonymous attacks against free speech making accounts for political reasons.
The Downvote feature is like having the ability to make a physical attack. They do very well in using that against real abusers which I see no problem if the rewards they swipe didnt go back to the top 1% who mainly do these attacks.
They say it goes to the trending. Well that would be cool indeed but they control what goes to trending and on top of that, they vote hard on those to take away from other voters. This is due to the crab bucket function. Or like having a bunch of marbles of different sizes on a trampoline but then drop a bowling ball and what happens? The marbles goes towards the bowling ball and the other smaller votes get scraps for dinner.
There has been talk of making a proposal for having the DV rewards be burned instead. Which is totally feasible with a HF or SF (not sure on the code on this). Another proposed idea was adding the ability to DV witnesses from the witness list as a means to even the playing field in power. I don't remember where this conversation took place. Maybe @logiczombie knows.... She has been non stop on top of what has been going on for quite some time and holds a large HP in vote delegation for being proxy to many accounts. She is also not posting any new posts but re editing the same post so to not get DV'd. Smart but she grts no rewards this way apart from what people may donate for her efforts via direct transactions.
Without Hive being decentralized we just have another Stinc but with various "Justin Sun's" instead of one calling the shots.
As @lucylin has pointed out perfectly, it is digital feudalism when DPOS is mixed with the DV function.
Yes it is definitely better on blurt. Real free speech is honored here. And with no digital guns to tear your account down for expressing the truth or opinions of your own or others, why would those who value liberty would want to join Hive?
I will say that it is perfectly fine to invest in hive, IF the top parasitic witnesses stepped down inpower. I doubt it highly. The next more likely scenario is have them confronted and taken down.

Wow. You really know your stuff. Thanks for adding to my post with all this great information. Personally I have no interest in changing Hive or putting one ounce of energy into it to make it a better place. For me it's more of a rescue mission for the average user about what is going on there and offering them information and options (blurt) and then letting them decide what is best.
I went through months of BS with "them" until @frot dropped a note mentioning Blurt to me. Until that moment I didn't even know blurt existed! Then I log on to find basically a free $150 dollars of blurt sitting in my account from the steem fork. Talk about a gift and an off ramp wrapped into one. Blurts been a game changer for me and many others and I think it's just getting started.
So for me there is no point in trying to change that rotten place Hive. Especially knowing what a strangle hold they have on it. It's basically a lost cause and I'd be happy to see it burned to the ground after learning about all the dark entities linked to the power structure there. Heck one of the downvotes I received on this post on Hive was from @thevil.....what the hell kind of name is that? Like The Evil? or something. Then you see their blog. ugggh....then you see @thevil's name right next to top witness @themarkymark's down-vote. uggggg🤮🤮🤮. The people in the power structure there are rotten to the core...you literally couldn't pay me to go back there and start blogging seriously again even if I knew they'd I'd never receive another down-vote. I'm only there to promote Blurt now which is far more rewarding anyway. :)
Ive had help. It was @antisocialist that first told me about steemit when Minds was just getting started. Another fake platform that stole rewards from ita users. the founders of minds are data mining the content there. If you have an account there, try deleting your content. You will find that up to a point, the ability to delete it stops and no more of your previous content shows. So who is in control there.

What I really love tho is that Markey mark is actually paying to promote blurt lol. It's incredible they are so triggered and unable to not react emotionally that they are actually willing to pay people to be exposed to blurt. Last month no one had heard of blurt, now due to their own actions it's being talked about loads and each new person they piss off now knows it exists. By happy accident I did very well out of Hive, but having bought, gained, and sold, I won't ever be going back.
So it wasn't a mistake for me, but staying in that toxic environment would be. I think the price will slowly decline from now on as all the real accounts leave and only the cabal and their thousands of fake accounts remain... But even if it keeps going I want nothing to do with it. And exactly the same goes for Steemit, that platform died in 2019.

my picks - vivaldi and brave - vivaldi has some really cool features so that is my default

It's been a while, and don't know what's become of Ecuador since Covid. But I found Vilcabamba "the vally of longevity" so comfortable with a great natural/local small town vibe with a good expat community to be most enjoyable. I stayed there for about 6 months. Which is a long time for me! hahaha
What about beaches? Does Vilcabamba have any good ones?

Vilcabamba is nestled in a vally surrounded by the gorgeous andes mountains. It s an hr south of the what I consider the most livable city in Ecuador Cuenca.
As far as beaches, the rough waters of the pacific make a few spots on the coast popular surf destinations. If I remember correctly there is a couple small beach towns that have a nice vibe... but I forgot their names Canoa maybe. You have to do your own research, but the beaches in ecuador are not carribean or thai like at all which I much prerfer.
I would say the safer and more interesting parts of Ecuador is all through the Andes where the Native quichwa people are from. Good wholesome safe culture, compared to latino gang culture of coastal cities like Guayaquil. I spent about 4 months mountain biking the andes from Quito in the north to vilcabamba in the aouth by myself. It was a great adventure. Loved it.
Look up, cuenca, banos, and vilcabama. If you are into mountain climbing, nature, hiking...you d want to stay in the andes or drop down to the eastern side of the andes and have yourself an Amazon jungle adventure. Which is something many do from the fun "waterfall/hotspring" town of Banos.
That is really incredible. My interest just increased 10 fold. Thank you so much. I will definitely look into ecuador more. I love hiking. I cant do rock climbing, in the past i was able to do a little but never was something i really picked up. But walking up and down mountains I can do. I love hights.
