There's a story of an old man going on a trip with his little child riding on a bicycle to a far distant town. At the beginning of the trip they were both sitted on the bicycle at the same time but the old man was rebuked by a man on their way. Do you want to destroy the bicycle? He asked. The two of you shouldn't be sitting on the bicycle at the same time, he said. The man got off the bicycle and put his child on it as the journey continues.

As they traveled for about half an hour, they met another man that challenged him for walking while his child rides on the bicycle. He said to him, you are spoiling your child with this kind of behavior. The man tried to explain that it was someone who advised him to let the child ride alone while he follows. But the man insisted its wrong, that the old man should be the one on the bike while the child follows on foot.

After a while, another man saw the man on the bicycle while his child follows on foot and called the man heartless...(the story goes on and on)

Each time we try as much as possible to be real and not be someone else - not to be fake or let our behavior be influenced by others. Guess what? People would still comment. You can never satisfy everyone. Folks would always talk and criticize. Criticism is an essential aspect of life, anyways. It's really difficult to show your real self when you want to consider other people's opinion. We oftentimes get scared to stand on our feet and act according to our instinct because of the fear of been criticized due to cultural and religious beliefs.

We all need to understand that we are unique and distinct in our own way. You should not feel sad if you can't meet up the standards of people around you. No two individuals can act the same way, even twins do not act or think the same way. We're all special in our own way and we need to appreciate this.
