Keeping voting open

In the beginning, I also voted almost exclusively in a country community. In the meantime, I try to spread my votes more.
The upvoting of own contributions may be justified with the poverty in some parts of this world. If I had to feed my family there, I would use every opportunity to earn money. That's why I can't condemn these upvotes in principle.

We have people unable to feed themselves in the Uk. I do appreciate some countries have bigger poverty levels but all countries have people who can’t afford to live.

but all countries have people who can’t afford to live

And that is the real problem. There are people who are starving, and there are people like Elon Musk who are spending 43 billion on Twitter. I think that's disgusting.

Actually I don’t I don’t mind Elon being super rich. He doesn’t even live in a fancy house, he’s manifested and generated money and is spending it in ways he feels it benefits society as a whole. You don’t see him owning 100 properties and lounging on the beach every day. He also employs hundreds of thousands of people. We can all manifest and generate money. It’s actuallt better to empower others to do the same than give hand me downs. Mostly if places like Africa took back control of their natural resources they would be richer than the west anyways. They don’t need charity just the freedom to earn their own abundance and the platforms and opportunities.

Money isn’t bad or good it just highlights who you are as a person. If you use it to control others or to help society depands on self and can be done on small and big levels, it’s just more obvious when ppl have more money. I think Elon is an example of someone who actually uses his money for the betterment of society and is doing things no other individual can do.

I don’t condem self upvoting tho I think it’s somewhat unprofitable tho long term as a lot of people don’t tend to upvote ppl who constantly upvote everything and don’t upvote others so even if your stake is worth 50 c x 10 a day you can earn way more just posTing good content and being part of the community I feel. But like we say each person will do as they like I guess if you hold big stake and don’t have time to curate it’s a kind of dividend. But I think for it to be profitable you need to hold a rly big stake

These people often cannot afford to think in the long term. I would cite Venezuela as an example. The people there are very poor. In some parts of the country, the local currency is not accepted by merchants because it has no value. The Colombian peso is the "official" means of payment there. If I can feed my family with 50 cents, then I'm not thinking long-term.
