Noiler chickens are bird family, mostly native to Nigeria. Raised for both meat and egg production.
This particular chicken is produced in a particular hatchery in Nigeria known as amo hatchery and it is a cross breed of a certain pullet and a male broiler that has given birth to this noiler chicken.

What Noiler birds do differently?

  • they are different from the local birds just as I've said earlier, they are cross breed of male broiler and a pellet.

  • they are for dual consumptions, meaning when you have these birds, you are sure of getting meat and eggs

  • what make noiler birds stand out is their resilience, good survival rate, very rugged and easy to raise, unlike the broiler birds, noiler have excellent survival rate, meaning if you have a hundred noilers, there is tendency that all will survive, except for attack from predators or harsh weather.

I've seen and hear quite number of few individuals who are willing to have their own poultry but complained of funds, starting your poultry with noiler birds will be a good one, less capital intensive (cheap and affordable to maintain). also you may not need to construct a special pen, they may be allowed to roam and scavenge for food just like the local chicken.

It will take 5 to 6 months before a noiler fully matured and i think thats why alot of farmer don't like keeping this bird including me, when a broiler can be fully matured in just about 6 weeks.

Overall, i think noiler is a 'must-have' kind of birds to be kept for meat and egg.
