When traveling, many tourists like to go for coffee to experience the local culture and flavor. Famous cafes can be found in almost every tourist destination, each with its own unique style and culture. In some cases, the cafes are even more famous than the tourist attractions themselves.
With its temperate climate and stunning landscape, Da Lat is unsurprisingly the home of some of the most stylish cafes in Vietnam. From quirky little coffee shops to sumptuous high-end affairs, Da Lat's cafes have something to suit everyone's taste. Whether you're looking for a quick caffeine fix or a leisurely afternoon out, these cafes are sure to impress.
Many of the cafés in Da Lat are decorated with antiques and feature beautiful gardens or a unique style of décor, or many are filled with stunning French-style cafes that will make you feel like you're in Europe.
I've been back to Da Lat city a few days ago. The weather is perfect here with sunshine and a cool breeze. While it has been rainy and cold in my city, I'm enjoying the fresh air and chasing the sun here in Da Lat.
Today, I visit the French-style cafe, named "Khoang Troi Thuong Nho", for the first time and it's really impressive with the decor and atmosphere. The cafe is decorated with white walls, a black and white wooden floor, and a number of French decors in the shop. There are also several small tables with chairs, a counter, and a few shelves with French books.
The cafe is small with limited seating, but it has a warm and inviting feel to it. There are several paintings on the wall that give the cafe a Parisian vibe. When I walked into the shop, I was overwhelmed with the classic and vintage French style that is displayed in every corner. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork, and the shelves are stocked with unique trinkets and souvenirs.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they provide excellent service. The juices are delicious, and the decoration is equally impressive. Not only do they have great drinks, but they also use paper straws (and I feel like it's more sanitary than using a plastic straw) and fresh flowers for their decorations. I like that they are trying to be environmentally friendly and that the flowers add a touch of beauty to the juices. I'm sure many other people feel the same way, which is why the coffee shop is so successful in creating their own name in the land known as the home of the most famous cafes in the country. ❤️
So lovely 😍 We ordered 1 strawberries juice, 1 orange juice and 1 apple pie (total cost: 250.000 VND~ $11 USD)
In addition, I like that they have a variety of drinks to choose from, and also classic French dishes like croissants, quiche, and baguettes. The prices are a bit higher compared to other shops but totally worth it.
The coffee shop had a lot of character and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique coffee shop experience. When I walk into the coffee shop, the first thing I notice is the surrounding greenery. It really brightens up the coffee shop and makes it feel more inviting. The plants are placed in strategic locations so that they can be enjoyed from every seat in the shop. There's even a large potted plant in the center of the room that adds to the natural atmosphere.
The name "Khoang Troi Tuoi Dep" literally means "Beautiful Days".
Do you like old music? Do you like the classic and vintage french atmosphere? Do you like the place with surrounding greenery? If your answer is yes, this place is for you.
Listening to old music or enjoying maybe it's the classic and vintage French atmosphere here just takes me back in time. Whatever it is, I can't get enough of it!

I've told that the owner of the cafe used to study and live in France for years before returning to Vietnam. He decorated everything with a French stylist to remind him of the good times he had in France. He loves everything about French culture, from the food, coffee to the language, and he wants to share that love with his customers. I think "the beautiful days" bring about feelings of nostalgia for the owner. However, these memories are also intertwined with the excitement of knowing that beautiful days are coming again. Each time he thinks of those memories, it reminds him of the good times ahead. Although he may be facing difficult challenges at the moment, he knows that the beauty of those days will eventually return. This is what I think when I walk into the shop and hear the owner's story. It's admirable when someone has strong ties to their hometown and refuses to relocate even when they have the opportunity to do so. You know what I mean, but for sure, France always held a special place in his heart 🤗.
Another interesting thing that should be mentioned and I guess you will know why there are many other French Architectures in this city :) Alexandre Yersin, a French scientist, arrived in Da Lat city in 1891 and became the first person to set foot in the land. Yersin was who is best known for his work on the bubonic plague. He established a research station in Da Lat and conducted many experiments on the local flora and fauna. He also helped to develop the area into a popular tourist destination.(The story was told by the local friend of mine) 🙂
My visit to the coffee shop today was so pleasant. Everything is perfect here. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a relaxing atmosphere in Da Lat city.
It's been emotional and heartbreaking to see many innocent people dying every day because of the current war. I can only hope that the leaders of all the nations involved will come to their senses and negotiate a peace treaty. Despite being no expert in either economics or politics, I believe wars should not be happening nowadays.
