My friend took me to some of the local coffee shops in Da Lat and I really enjoyed the experience. There are different types of coffee shops and each one has its own unique atmosphere. I always find something new and interesting to explore in each one of these coffee shops.
Some coffee shops go even further, integrating themselves into the natural landscape around them. This is a trend that can be found throughout Vietnam, with coffee shops often being connected to nature in some way. Some coffee shops connect with nature in a more literal way by opening the coffee shop in their own garden. Others take a more conceptual approach, using natural materials or colors in their design. Whatever the approach, many coffee shops seem to find that connecting with nature makes for a more pleasant experience for coffee addicts and tourists alike.
One of those coffee shops I visited in the region, "Nha Ben Suoi"- "Streamside Coffee House". Where is it? Located in a remote corner of the area and about a 1-hour ride from the center's town, following the Prenn pass to Tuyen Lam Lake, Once you reach the lake, go left and follow the sign of "Nha Ben Suoi" and you'll be able to find this charming spot easily. Just be sure not to miss it! It's a bit far from the center, but in return, this is a place with inherent natural beauty and not much exploited by humans.
Surrounded by the green mountains, the shop offers its customers outdoor seating and a spacious garden next to a stream where customers can relax and rejuvenate, with the sound of the stream and the birdsong providing calming background noise. Plus, the coffee shop also provides unique menus and drinks that make them popular among customers.
The lodges were designed in a naturalistic style as close to nature as possible, with a predominance of wood materials, and include virtual living corners such as a beautiful van and a picnic table by the stream. These establishments can be great for people who want to escape city life and connect with nature.
My friend and I visited the coffee shop during the weekend, so it was a bit crowded. We ordered our drinks and took a few minutes to look around and took some pictures before finding a spot to sit down. We found seats at a table in the back next to the stream and listened to the sound of water while enjoying our drinks.
It was a great experience and we would definitely go back. 🙂
Thanks for the visit and I hope you enjoy the coffee shop.
