WHY YOU NEED 10,000 BLURT ON BLURT.BLOG!

There is a bitterness and a smack of jealousy here.

Attacking other users is not what will make this chain a success. We have a new user with a large following on YouTube and you post this as a comment? Attacking the founder and another user who is more successful than you. Shame

CRITIQUE = RESPECT

Nether the time or the place. There is a reason a house has a bathroom and a bedroom... That's how I see this. Respect is all about gauging where critique belongs.

the whole point of blurt is that you can't simply downvote everyone you disagree with

we must learn to either ignore, or tolerate opposing viewpoints

I like to use BLURT as a "Visitors Log" for clients of my original Crypto Graphic Novel back on STEEM. So knowing Jerry from the Block is cool 😎🥓 he's going to have a great Affect here...

we must learn to either ignore, or tolerate opposing viewpoints

To generate a productive back and forth... AKA Engagement... While using the core features of upvotes and comments to economically organize the outcomes into usable constructs.

When engagement becomes unconstructive ....

Mute and move on 🤬🥓

It does come to that doesn't it. I enjoy hearing all points of view and giving people the opportunity to show me what they are made of. I actively encouraging high levels of engagment and even disagreement (#speakingUP) but at some point this becomes about curation of a social environment that's wholesome and supportive. I don't like mute... but when you consider that our minds touch here on Blurt there are certainly grounds for it's use. I'm long suffering though. I don't like to react but rather respond. Saying what I've said above was all about this. How we showUP as a community (especially when we are welcoming people on their first post) does matter.
