Enjoying the Winter time in Hjorundfjord

I did grew up in this area. It's a small place, our own fjord and with high mountains around. It's really nice in the summer time, and when I was living here as a child, the winter could be long. The last time we did see the sun (because of the high mountains) was in late October. We did always looked forward to the 7th of February, the day that we could see the sun again.

My father had written up all the "anniversaries" for when the sun should climb a new mountain around the valley. We did feel the spring getting closer, and the day was getting longer and longer.

I don't live here anymore, but my parents still does, and it's so nice to come and visit. All sesons have their sharms, and as you can see in the pictures, the winter time in March/April is also really lovely. If you love skiing, this might be the best time of the year
