Wyjazd z Keukenhof skróciliśmy na tyle, na ile mogliśmy - czekaliśmy na pięknym błękitnym niebie z białymi chmurami. Nie czekaliśmy i pojechaliśmy.
Tutaj mamy pierwsze „podejście”. Postanowiliśmy spać, zjeść śniadanie w spokoju i wylądowaliśmy na lotnisku Schiphol (Amsterdam), z którego autobus wyjechał z parku dopiero o 12… Kto by pomyślał, że będziemy stać w kolejce przez godzinę, aby dojechać autobusem, chodź a potem kolejne 2 korki na godzinę (zwykle 30 minut)… ostatnie 5 km jest jeszcze trudniejsze.
We cut our departure from Keukenhof as short as we could - we waited in a beautiful blue sky with white clouds. We didn't wait and we drove.
Here we got our first "approach." We decided to sleep in, have breakfast in peace and landed at Schiphol airport (Amsterdam) where the bus didn't leave the park until 12... Who would have thought that we would stand in line for an hour to get the bus, come on and then another 2 traffic jams per hour (usually 30 minutes)... the last 5 km is even more difficult.

Pomimo tego, że pogoda potrafi się dostosować, tulipany kwitną od końca marca do połowy maja. Although the weather can adjust, tulips bloom from late March to mid-May. Since there are many more hyacinths in the fields in late March and many are empty by mid-May, I recommend a trip from mid-April to early May. If you have the option of buying a car, don't doubt that this is the easiest way to get around. Biking is good in sunny weather and may not be 100 kilometers outside of Amsterdam. You can buy a ticket for the bike train for 6.5 euros (all day) and go to the town closest to the farm. I often use this method, but it hurts in the rain. They organize farm tours, but I don't recommend them because everyone is focused on visiting Keukenhof Park.
Obszar ten przypadnie do gustu nie tylko miłośnikom kwiatów, ale także miłośnikom morza (i śledzi!), bo z tych terenów kiedyś pływały statki wschodnioindyjskie. W Enkhuzen znajduje się skansen poświęcony morzu - Zuiderzeemuseum, aw Hoorn - muzeum, które kryje stare pociągi. ! A wszystko dlatego, że ten zalany teren był kiedyś suchy i stwarzał dobre warunki do wzrostu kwiatów. Nie ma połączenia kolejowego, pociąg jedzie tylko do Lelystad. Region ten zawsze przygotowuje się do sezonu tulipanów i co roku poleca piesze, rowerowe i samochodowe szlaki przez pola.
This area will appeal not only to flower lovers, but also to lovers of the sea (and herring!), as East Indian ships once sailed from this area. In Enkhuizen there is an open-air museum dedicated to the sea, the Zuiderzeemuseum, and in Hoorn there is a museum which hides old trains. ! And all because this flooded area was once dry and created good conditions for flowers to grow. There is no train connection, the train only goes to Lelystad. This region always prepares for the tulip season and every year recommends hiking, biking and driving trails through the fields.
Park kwiatowy Keukenhof i okolice sprawiają, że jest to najpopularniejszy cel turystyczny. Najbardziej ruchliwymi miastami są Lisse i Leiden, ale Sassenheim i Noordwijk są nieco spokojne i idealne do jazdy na rowerze. Można dojechać do Haarlem (20 minut pociągiem ze stolicy) i stamtąd pedałować do Sassenheim. Region jest bardzo blisko Morza Północnego, a pola są oddzielone wydmami. Jeśli zdecydujesz się spróbować tulipanów, spróbuj zrobić to w weekendy. Warto również zauważyć, że wiele tutejszych gospodarstw jest otoczonych wodą.
The Keukenhof flower park and surrounding area make it a most popular tourist destination. The busiest cities are Lisse and Leiden, but Sassenheim and Noordwijk are somewhat quiet and ideal for cycling. You can get to Haarlem (20 minutes by train from the capital) and pedal from there to Sassenheim. The region is very close to the North Sea and the fields are separated by dunes. If you decide to try the tulips, try to do it on weekends. Also note that many of the farms here are surrounded by water.
