Open Letter to the Blurt Foundation

in blurt •  3 years ago  (edited)

First of all, I want to thank you for your time spent explaining certain details! It is much appreciated! 🙏

This regent account will have 0 weight in voting for witnesses by next month. And if I understand correctly most of this weight is already gone, so little will change in the witness voting as it is now organically transitioned into real voter weights.

This isn't correct... In the meantime, I have found out a few things too...

The so-called regent account is called @socialgraph and has a vote weight of 5,604,036 BP right at this moment!

Following witnesses are having active votes by @socialgraph:

grafik.png

So that is quite a lot of weight, if you ask me!

The second thing that irritates me is this post by @mariuszkarowski:
https://blurt.blog/decentralization-day/@mariuszkarowski/me-vs-rycharde
Have you read this post?

He seems to be trying his best to lean against the price collapse to keep it stable...

Not the amount of 200K Blurt per month being moved out (this is perfectly ok, if stuff and people have to be paid), but the fact, THAT it is being moved out, worries me...

This movement out of the ecosystem is seriously harming the BLURT price at the moment! This is not fair on the inhabitants and thus the stakers of Blurt.

We are not HIVE!

On Hive, no one would give a fart about 3 or 4K HIVE moving out of the ecosystem... But like I said...

We are not HIVE! Hive has a market cap of 150 - 200 million. We do not!

Please also remember the 5million blurt is very possible for one whale to have at this time. @offgridlife has over 1 million from posting, curating and buying the dips.

Also I agree that selling of blurt is not great for the price of blurt but it is also necessary for the growth of blurt but is necessary to run things. Blurt has been sustainable and still growing even with this blurt being sold.

That's not entirely true. I would never use offgridlife as an example of what an average user will do. He has been paid monthly for his work for the Foundation as well as given the ability to generously upvote his multiple accounts from the instablurt account.

For some reason the front end will only let me go back three months on his blog. He stopped using it around the VTS wars. But before then I had even seen some complaints that instablurt was only interested in his posts and another one (that was one of his accounts as well).

From his access to that powerful account and being paid an outright 20k per month (so if this has been ongoing since day 1) the payments alone direct would be just under half a million Blurt not counting the generous upvotes from the instablurt account on multiple accounts that were taking place daily for some time.

Last year when he was pretending one can earn what he was naturally he was bragging about buying a new car with his earnings. I'm an advocate for property rights so despite seeing this for some time I've not talked openly about seeing this.

As for the Dao, what I'm finding concerning is it doesn't matter if there was any decay or not since it appears that there hasn't been any voting on how the Dao is spent and it has went through the Foundation with zero community input. So decay or not, it seems to really be 100% when it comes to the Dao. I'm unsure of why there are links that suggest we have the ability to vote on proposals when we in actuality haven't.

I desire for the Foundation to continue on as stewards, but there have been some legitimate concerns raised and it would be wrong to ignore those concerns just because we might not care for the messenger or how the message was delivered.

I'm heartened to see that Jacob returned last night, and that megadrive has stated there will be an official statement from the Foundation soon. The only way to solve this is by openness and being transparent. To me Blurt has always been about honor and respect.

Well written... As always... 🙏🏽

Please also remember the 5million blurt is very possible for one whale to have at this time.

I have no problem with this. The account can have 10 million Blurtpower for the likes of it... The question here is: Are the witness votes fair on the other witnesses?

Blurt has been sustainable and still growing even with this blurt being sold.

Sorry mate, but I think if @mariuszkarowski stopped his efforts the price of BLURT would go to hell! I think maybe he should just stop doing it for 2-3 months! ...Just to set an example... 😏

What do you think, where the BLURT price will be then?

When we look at the top accounts having 101m votes, 5m is a small percentage at about 5 percent. I would assume I could be wrong and the figures could help clear this up, is that the regent vote was much larger. Remember the deadline has not hit yet so the regent will still have a % of its original voting power and still have the votes.

So what you have pointed out very much is what I would still expect to see now before that date.

It is hard to tell if the regent has acted according to how it was coded throughout time without multiple snapshots of the account over time. We can not conclude just because it still has weight at this time that it has not diminished over time and worked as coded.

EDIT: I took a closer look at the wallet of @socialgraph...

We are talking about much much more BP!!!
There are delegations out:

23,017,507.402 BLURT
(-17,413,442.915 BLURT)

Now we are talking about 23 million BP as witness vote...
This definately isn't peanuts anymore!! That is almost ALL MY witness votes altogether!!!

  ·  3 years ago  ·

Hi, i think it's like this:

@initblurt votes for witness with 22,058,826.103 BP.
@socialgraph votes for witness with 23,013,822.602 BP.
@blurt.regent votes for wittnes.
@blurt.regent seems to have BP equal to 1 only. I don't know exactly how it is done, but the votes are higher, according to my memory. Through a code this is disguised. rycharde talked about it in a comment a few days ago. He knows and the foundation knows. You can ask Jocob also.

Ok, thank you for the information 🙏

Regent account is something different and it will stop doing it's job automatically on 7/7/2022, read rycharde's post

socialgraph and initblurt accounts controlling witness ranking with 45 M Blurt Power

Ok, I understand... That is a lot of vote power...

When you write "printed blurt", what does that mean? Where do these printed blurts come from? I need to understand...

  ·  3 years ago  ·

From Blurt Proposals. It's hidden on Blurt wallet

....off topic , but probably worth noting.

socialgraph was the account that set the account that created
@bullywatch

https://blurt.blog/bullying/@bullywatch/bully-watch-blurt-anti-bullying-policy

The most ridiculous post ever to appear on blurt, imo - and written by people with as much understanding of critical thinking, ethics, and logic, as a retarded rock.

these are the 4 accounts it is following: (only created yesterday)

@ctime
@lucylin
@mariuszkarowski
@mmmmkkkk311

I'll do a post today about the absurdity of both the post - and - by extension , the idiots who wrote the post, later on.

Butt hurt, ego bruised liberals and their 'inclusive' tyranny ! ..lol

the truth is that anyone can create an account, name it the way he wants and follow anyone he wants to follow - even founding father can do it, I think there will be triangle by our usernames, like COAL warnings

  ·  3 years ago  ·

is that all?.....So kind of like a an idiot saying 'don't touch that ', to a child...?

'....lets create taboo accounts because people won't be drawn to them at all !'

Time to take the gloves off....I'm nearly ashamed of how gentle I've been with some morons on here (upto now)...

I'm not sure, I found out (rumors) today that they want to freeze both my accounts, and along with the triangle they can block the upvote button

We will see what happens... 👍

Some say the right thing to do with long term investing. Is not even look at the price for the next six months. May not be a bad idea with all crypto relatedd investments these days. But I ll keep posting and socializong here, as I like the people and believe in the fundamentals of the platform.

I am staying too of course, but there are a few issues that have to be solved... 🙏👍🍀
