I remember coming to Blurt about 2 years ago. Me and a Canadian blogger (amongst others) by the name of @drutter were mobbed off of Hive by the downvoting whale MarkyMark.
Ever since then, the price has gone up and down, mostly settling in at 0.2 cents. The past month, the price has risen beautifully thanks to the bull run and partly thanks to the developer team around @kencode by the name of @agorise, whose post has recently surpassed the 10 dollar mark!
Congratz on that! 🏆

Don't say anything even remotely critical of anything, though... you will end up like me, fighting for $2 posts still. I'm making about $24 per month ($12 after paying the whale). I don't have a witness income so I'm basically just earning through curation now. A bit hard to grow when the rest of the pack is growing faster... meaning my stake is losing ground. Never going to get my $20000 and 3 years investment back at this rate! Let's hope more whales appear soon, to spread the love around to all the good content-creators, and keep the platform vibrant.

Well, that would be solved for other users without the weight of the vote because they could give the authors what they really deserve for their work. My vote doesn't even make it to a Blurt, but if I decide to donate to someone, it should show up in the reward pool as well.
A publication of more than 10 dollars sounds striking, but for those who don't know it is misleading advertising because half of it goes to those who vote and the more BP you have the more you get from the reward pool, not to mention that the author only gets 25% of the liquid Blurt because the rest, whether he wants or not, goes to BP staking.
I posted a screenshot of a post with over 10 dollars rewards. I never wrote the author gets the whole 10 bucks.
I find it awesome, that 75% go to BlurtPower. Making it harder for spammers and farmers to cash out!
